MRS statement on Covid-19 – including update on Vacation Scholarships March 18, 2020 We regret to say that we are cancelling the award of Vacation Scholarships in 2020. The current necessity for self-isolation and suspension of research in Universities will eventually end, but we do not anticipate that there will be sufficient time this year for labs to resume operations and for students to return to allow Vacation Scholarships to work. Moreover, we do not wish to ask for reviews of applications when the chance of scholarships being able to run is slim.
