Non-coding RNA and vascular pathology University of Glasgow Past award Student: Louis Dwyer-Hemmings : University of Cambridge Year Award Started: 2015 Diseases of the vascular system are very common and remain important areas for improvement of clinical treatments. We are interested in how the blood vessel wall responds to injury and how we can modify the cells in the blood vessel wall to improve this response. We are interested in using genetic medicines. To achieve this we need to understand how certain molecules, called RNA influence the function of cells in the vessel wall. This is the aim of the current project Research area: Cardiovascular conditions Supervisors: Professor Andrew Baker Institute of Cardiovascular & Medical Sciences Back to all awards
