Medical Research Scotland’s Meet the Researcher Showcase Returns for 2025 May 26, 2025 Back by popular demand, Medical Research Scotland’s in-person Meet the Researcher Showcase will take place on Thursday 12th June 2025, bringing together pupils from Scottish high schools who are interested in science or considering STEM subjects in higher education. Held at the University of Strathclyde’s Technology and Innovation Centre, this free event invites senior pupils in S4, S5, and S6 from across Scotland to exchange textbooks for test tubes. Attendees will hear from leading experts working in industry and academia as well as Medical Research Scotland-funded researchers as they present their cutting-edge work across a range of health-related fields. The day will begin with inspirational career talks offering students valuable insights into careers in medical science and research. Pupils will also have the chance to meet researchers at every level of their career paths, from research students to professors, from top Scottish universities and take part in hands-on, interactive science activities designed to put their scientific thinking to the test.
