I am a qualified accountant and led the Government Services teams at PwC and KPMG as a Director and Partner respectively. I now own a consulting business, advising clients on strategic management and governance in the UK and USA. I am an experienced non-executive Director and Chair, serving as the Chair of the Audit Committee for the Metropolitan Police Service and am currently Vice-Chair of the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education and a Board Member of Blackwood Homes and Care Group, both registered Charities.

My work to date has enabled me to bring extensive experience in business strategy, planning and administration to the Trust, along with an insight into the arrangements for funding, quality and oversight within the Higher and Further Education sectors.

I was attracted to this position to ensure that the Trustees make best use of the funds available to support students in carrying out vital medical research studies across Scotland.
